Individual therapy

A steady, private space to look at what's underneath.

One-on-one therapy for adults who want to understand themselves more clearly and live with a little more ease.

What we can work with

The terrain of individual therapy.

These aren't boxes to fit into — they're entry points. You may move between several, or arrive somewhere entirely your own.

Anxiety

The constant hum of worry, the overthinking, the difficulty resting even when nothing's wrong.

Trauma

Painful experiences — recent or long-ago — that still affect how you feel, react, and relate to others. Not every strong reaction is trauma, but some experiences do stay with us.

Relationships

Patterns in how you connect with others — and how you protect yourself — that you'd like to understand and change.

Boundaries

Getting clearer on where you end and others begin, and finding language for what you need without guilt.

Family dynamics

The roles you were handed early on and how they still shape what you expect of yourself and others.

First-generation & bicultural experiences

Holding more than one culture, language, or set of expectations — and the complexity that lives there.

People-pleasing

The habit of centering everyone else's comfort, and what it costs you to keep doing it.

Self-trust

Rebuilding the ability to know what's true for you, especially after years of second-guessing.

Emotional regulation

Working with intense emotions rather than against them, so they don't run the day.

The approach

Grounded, collaborative, and paced to you.

Therapy here is a conversation, not a protocol. We start with where you are and what you're carrying, and we build understanding together — at a pace that feels honest rather than rushed.

When it's appropriate, Cheryl may draw on EMDR for processing difficult experiences and DBT-informed skills for working with intense emotions. These are tools, not labels — woven in gently, and only when they fit what you need.

You won't be asked to pathologize your reactions or relabel your life. The goal is more clarity, more choice, and a steadier relationship with yourself.
